A new “Stranger Things” novel, centered on Nancy Wheeler and titled “Stranger Things: One Way or Another,” will hit store shelves on December 2, 2025, and is set between the fourth and fifth seasons of “Stranger Things.”

Penned by television writer and novelist Caitlin Schneiderhan, “Stranger Things: One Way or Another” teams up Nancy Wheeler and Robin Buckley for a mystery set just two months after Vecna’s earthquake tore through Hawkins, Indiana.
Nancy has spent every waking minute on the hunt for Vecna, but he’s continued to elude her. How can she head to Emerson for college in the fall if Hawkins is still under the influence of the Upside Down?
When classmate Joey Taft starts acting suspiciously at graduation, Nancy is convinced Vecna has found his newest victim. Joined by fellow amateur sleuth Robin Buckley, Nancy doesn’t waste any time questioning Joey. What the girls discover leads them down the path of a bigger story than The Hawkins Post could have ever assigned to Nancy. Why are people around town suddenly getting sick? Why is there a strange man tailing Nancy as she investigates? And, most importantly, does this even have anything to do with the Upside Down?
Together with Robin, Nancy embarks on a dangerous quest for the truth. The deeper the two dig, the further Nancy finds herself drawn into a web of intrigue that threatens to trap her in Hawkins . . . forever.
“Stranger Things: One Way or Another” is available for pre-order now from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Walmart, or wherever books are sold.
The fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” arrives with the first four episodes on November 26, 2025, followed by three episodes on Christmas Day, and the show’s finale premieres on New Year’s Eve.
