New Trailer Arrives for AMC’s ‘Interview With The Vampire’

Sam Reid as Lestat De Lioncourt

AMC has released a new trailer for its retelling of Anne Rice’s best-selling novel, “Interview With The Vampire.” The latest trailer gives us a glimpse of the overall story arc and also introduces us to Bailey Bass as the young girl turned vampire, Claudia.

The new series, which is set to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on October 2, follows Louis de Pointe (Jacob Anderson), Lestat De Lioncourt (Sam Reid), and Claudia’s epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

“Interview With The Vampire” is the first of two shows headed to AMC inspired by the works of Rice. “The Mayfair Witches,” based on Anne Rice’s “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” trilogy, is set to premiere sometime in 2023. AMC acquired the rights to both series along with their crossover novels “Merrick,” “Blackwood Farm,” and “Blood Canticle” back in 2020 with the hopes of creating an expansive and interconnected Anne Rice universe.
