If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if you dared a practitioner of the dark arts to curse you, Liam Le Guillou’s documentary, “A Cursed Man,” is now available to stream for free.
The film—which I previously praised for its fascinating look at global occult beliefs—follows Le Guillou as he enters the world of witchcraft and the occult to answer one question: Is magic real? Seeking out some of the world’s most powerful dark magic practitioners, Le Guillou asks the unthinkable: to put a curse on him. The consequences of this experiment force him to question the nature of reality and belief in a way rarely captured on film.
“Would you allow someone to put a curse on you? For most people, the answer would be a resounding ‘No way!'” says Le Guillou. “I wondered why we are so afraid of the unknown, and would anything bad actually happen? That’s the question I set out to answer in this journey into the occult.”
Reflecting on the intensity of the project, Le Guillou continues, “At the time, I had no idea just how deep I would go. I found myself not only witnessing rarely seen rituals, but becoming the subject of the dark magical practice itself. Whether you’re a believer in the spirit world or firmly believe this is all in the mind, I think you’ll be surprised at the results.”
Previously available only on VOD, you can watch “A Cursed Man” for free right now on YouTube Movies and Tubi TV.
Produced by Second Shot Films and RobbinsCage, “A Cursed Man” was written, directed, and produced by Le Guillou. Michael Steven Robbins served as executive producer, with Nigel Levy as story producer and Blake Horn as cinematographer.
