Over the weekend, Mob Entertainment debuted an all-new trailer for “Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5,” officially announcing the game’s release date. The next installment of the episodic puzzle-horror phenomenon will launch on PC on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with a console release expected to follow shortly thereafter.
The latest trailer brings audiences closer than ever to the series’ central threat: Experiment 1006, better known as The Prototype. Deep within the vacant halls of the Playtime Co. lab, The Prototype stalks its unfinished work…the tattered, lifeless remains of toys that once were. Broken things.
The new trailer is the latest in a series of glimpses into Chapter 5, a rollout that began last Halloween with an announcement teaser and continued with last month’s “Welcome Home” trailer. In the latter, Poppy narrowly escapes with her life, only to find herself facing a new, unexpected, and ominously charming threat.
In “Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 — ‘Broken Things,'” players must prepare to face off against the deadly puppetmaster behind Playtime Co.’s dark past. Solve devious puzzles and overcome dangerous obstacles as the rotten heart of the factory looms closer. Players will traverse a new realm of shadows in a fight for survival—and the truth—while separated from allies and hunted by Playtime’s original security system, Huggy Wuggy.
“Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 — ‘Broken Things'” launches February 18, 2026, on PC and is available to Wishlist now on Steam and the Epic Games Store. “Poppy Playtime” chapters 1-4 are available now on Steam, Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One, PlayStation 5 & PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch 2 & Nintendo Switch.
