As 2026 winds down, Storm King Comics is setting its sights on 2027. This week, the publisher unveiled its Spring 2027 slate of new comics and graphic novels, spanning all-ages monster misadventures, dark queer thrillers, and apocalyptic horror.
Mouse-ters Attack!
Leading the mischief is a new Storm Kids release, “Mouse-ters Attack!,” written and illustrated by Dennis Calero. The graphic novel follows Count Mouse-cula, the cute and fearsome vampire who recruits a crew of legendary “Mouse-ters” in a bid for world domination.
“I’ve always loved the classic Monsters and wanted to do a story that was accessible to all ages. A tale that was funny AND spooky,” Calero said.
“Mouse-ters Attack!” hits comic shops March 3, 2027, and bookstores March 9.

The Grimms Town Terror Tales: Monsters Unleashed
Author Neo Edmund and illustrator Walter Carzon return to “The Grimms Town Terror Tales” next spring with an all-new chapter. Picking up several months after the first installment, “Monsters Unleashed” forces twin siblings Hansel and Gretel to defend Grimms Town from all the creepy, crawly things that go bump in the night after their parents disappear.
“The Grimms Town Terror Tales: Monsters Unleashed” arrives in comic shops on May 5, 2027, and in bookstores on May 11.

Death Mask 3: Descent
In June, Storm King’s Dark & Twisted imprint debuts the third installment of Amanda Deibert and Cat Staggs’ queer thriller series. In “Death Mask 3: Descent,” Detective Sonia Maza and the titular serial killer cross paths once more. As their investigations collide, Maza is forced to choose between saving a loved one or losing a piece of herself.
“Death Mask has always been near and dear to my heart,” says Deibert. “I love crafting the twists and turns and seeing how Cat, so gorgeously, illustrates all the creative kills! ‘Descent’ really takes a turn. Detective Maza goes darker than ever, and the lines between detective and serial killer blur. This is the volume where Death Mask really becomes Death Mask.”
“Death Mask 3: Descent” releases in comic shops on June 2, 2027, and in bookstores on June 8.

Shadow Boulevard
Storm King’s John Carpenter’s Night Terrors imprint caps off the slate in July with “Shadow Boulevard,” a post-apocalyptic love story from writer Steve Niles (“30 Days of Night”) and artist Andrea Mutti. Set after the fall of humanity, a weary monster hunter and a lonely vampire are the last two beings on Earth. As they figure out the new rules of survival, the mortal enemies become companions that evolve into something deeper—until an unexpected presence disrupts their peace.
“When writing ‘Shadow Boulevard,’ I had the idea of creating a love letter to classic noir films. I wanted to do something different with the idea of a monster hunter, so I worked on a supernatural love story that grows while they face the end of the world,” says Niles.
“Shadow Boulevard” arrives in comic shops July 7, 2027, and bookstores July 13.
