On Tuesday, Lionsgate released the official trailer for the next chapter in its “The Strangers” reboot, “The Strangers – Chapter 2.”
Madelaine Petsch returns for the sequel as Maya, the lone survivor from last year’s “The Strangers – Chapter 1,” and she’s being hunted by her would-be killers in an effort to finish what they started. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Maya must survive another horrific chapter of terror as The Strangers – driven by a senseless, unceasing purpose – pursue her, more than willing to kill anyone who stands in their way.
Renny Harlin, who directed the first film, returns for the sequel, as do cast members Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath.
“The Strangers – Chapter 2” is slated to arrive in theaters on September 26, 2025.
“The Strangers – Chapter 1” was met with a mixed response when it arrived in theaters last May. The film follows a similar storyline to the 2008 film “The Strangers,” with Maya and her fiancé stopping at a remote vacation rental in the woods while on a road trip, only to become the prey of a vicious gang of masked strangers. The film was the first in a trilogy of new films planned for the franchise, being helmed by Harlin.
