Party City Teasing New Animated Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger Chest of Souls Sweater and More

If you follow All Hallows Geek on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that Halloween has started popping up in stores, and the stores that aren’t stocking their in-store shelves are already posting some of their merchandise online, one, in particular, is Party City.  While the party retailer doesn’t appear to have released all of their new Halloween items yet, there are a handful of them online and this year they have quite a few new horror additions to their collection.

Freddy Krueger Chest of Souls Sweater

One of the more interesting additions to their Halloween 2018 offerings is a Freddy Krueger sweater that features the chest of souls which first debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3.  While I have seen other versions of this released over the years, this is probably one of the better looking releases and the coolest part is that its animated.  When turned on the faces move around and scream.  The product is due to be released on August 8, 2018 and is priced at $99.99 and you can find it online here.

Animated Michael Myers

Earlier this summer Spirit revealed their animated Michael Myers, which was interestingly listed as being from Halloween H20.  Party City, on the other hand, is due to release an animated Michael Myers from Halloween 2.  The 6 foot tall prop comes in his signature green jumpsuit from Halloween 2 and when activated swings his knife and makes a creepy breathing sound.  The decoration is set to be released on August 15 for $229.99 and can be ordered here.

Animated Jason Voorhees

For Friday the 13th fans, Party City is releasing an officially licensed animated Jason Voorhees decoration.  Standing at 6 1/2 feet tall, Jason movies, lights up, and makes eerie sounds when the motion sensor is activated.  Animated Jason Voorhees is due to be released on August 4 and will cost $189.99 and can be purchased here.

Animated Pennywise from IT

One of the better looking new props from Party City is their new animated giant Pennywise decoration.  The officially licensed product from the 2017 film IT stands 6 feet tall, moves, says spooky phrases from the film and his eyes light up.  Complete with red balloon this Pennywise decoration is sure to terrify anyone in your neighborhood with a fear of clowns.

The giant animated Pennywise will be available online in early August here and available in Party City stores in early September.

If you’re looking for a more subtle Pennywise experience, Party City is also releasing an animated Pennywise made to look like he’s peering at you through a sewer grate. Like the larger Pennywise this decoration is motion activated, his eyes light up and he says spooky phrases from the film. Like the larger Pennywise, he’ll be available for purchase online here in early August, or in Party City stores in September.

Animated Annabelle Doll

Party City is also releasing an officially licensed 18 inch Annabelle doll, inspired by the film Annabelle Creation. The motion activated prop is set to be released in early August and will cost $99.99. When activated Annabelle turns her head back and forth. You can learn more about the product or order it here.

Animated Posessed Nun from The Nun

Also from The Conjuring universe, Party City is releasing an officially licensed posessed nun from the film The Nun. When activated this life-sized nun lets out a shriek, moves and her eyes light up. She is set to be released early this month and will be sold for $159.99 and can be found here.

Animated Billy the Puppet Tricycle

Want to play a game with your Halloween party guests or trick or treaters? Then you’ll want to check out this new Billy the Puppet animated decoration. Made to look like Billy the Puppet from Saw, the animated decoraton features a moving head, light-up eyes, and makes squeeking noises when activated. He is set to be released in early August for $99.99 and can be found online here.

You can see Party City’s full line of new animated Halloween props here, most of which appear to be available for purchase starting later this week.
