‘Pig Hill’—’Willy’s Wonderland’ Director Brings Terrifying Urban Legend To Life This December

On Monday, Cineverse announced that “Pig Hill,” the latest film from director Kevin Lewis (“Willy’s Wonderland”), will debut on Digital and Video on Demand on December 9, 2025. A physical release will follow on January 13, 2026, with streaming on Screambox beginning March 10, 2026. The chilling horror feature draws inspiration from a Pennsylvania urban legend involving the mysterious disappearance of local women.

Based on the Nancy William novel, “Pig,” “Pig Hill” follows a young author who investigates the disappearance of local women in the community of Meadville, Pennsylvania. As the tenth woman goes missing, she quickly becomes entwined in a strange local legend about the pig people of Pig Hill. The film stars Shane West (“A Walk To Remember”), Rainey Qualley (“Ocean’s Eight”), Shiloh Fernandez (“Evil Dead”), and R.A. Mihailoff (“Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III”).

“I think some of the best horror comes from ideas that are connected to the real world. When I read Jarrod Burris’ screenplay adapted from the Nancy William’s novel ‘Pig,’ and learned about the Pig People of Meadville, Pennsylvania, I knew it would make for a frightening, bone-chilling film,” says director Kevin Lewis. “It is a poignant story of obsession, love, and the terrible consequences of what happens when reality and fantasy blur.”
