Set AI to Kill: Paranormal Horror Game ‘Bureau of Contacts’ Announced

MiroWin studio, the developer behind titles like “Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR” and “Boiling Steel,” has announced its next title: “Bureau of Contacts.” The PC co-op ghost-hunting horror game is slated for Early Access on Steam in June 2024.

In “Bureau of Contacts,” players will confront insidious ghosts and the paranormal, but you’re not facing off against your typical AI foes. MiroWin is leveraging AI technologies to train neural networks to kill. This means the ghosts will decide the players’ destiny based on their words and actions. Analyzing players’ behavior, the neural network acts as an invisible scriptwriter, determining the course of the game session and ensuring the diversity of its outcome.

Other features include generative room layouts and the ability to communicate with the ghost by voice. Implementation of medium and astral functions, a skill tree, possible VR support, and porting to consoles are among other plans for the full release.

“Bureau of Contacts” is available to Wishlist now on Steam and will be available in both single and co-op modes when it arrives in early access later this year. Check out the teaser for the game below:
