April 26 is widely celebrated by fans of the “Alien” franchise as Alien Day. The date, 4/26, a nod to the fictional moon LV-426, where the Xenomorph aliens were first discovered in the 1979 film “Alien.” To mark the occasion, Spirit Halloween has officially debuted a massive new animatronic inspired by the iconic creature.
animatronic features a detailed sculpt complete with dorsal spines, sharp claws, and its signature elongated carapace. The movement is designed for maximum dread; the torso rotates side-to-side as if scanning for prey, while the inner jaw lunges forward with a “teeth-popping” action to deliver a cinematic jump scare. The experience is rounded out by a custom audio track featuring dripping water, industrial hums, and the creature’s piercing screech.
The new animatronic is available for purchase now at SpiritHalloween.com for $449.99. Strapped for cash? Spirit is also giving fans a chance to win the animatronic through a giveaway on its Instagram account.
