Spirit Halloween Treats Chicago to Some Tricks With Augmented Reality Bus Stop Takeover

Halloween fans and unsuspecting passengers waiting for the bus in Chicago are in for a treat thanks to Spirit Halloween’s first-ever augmented reality (AR) advertisement.

The bus shelter at 108 W Washington St. will be a Spirit Halloween Scare Stop through Halloween. Using AR and detection technology, those waiting for their bus may be joined by some horrifyingly realistic virtual guests – including larger-than-life spiders and Spirit Halloween’s iconic Reaper.

Located at the corner of West Washington and South State Street, Spirit Halloween invites fans to come out and share their reactions to the stop on social media using the hashtag #spirithalloween.
