Storm King Comics has announced that the next title under its Dark & Twisted imprint will be “Death Mask Volume 2: Ichor Azure.” This is a follow-up to the acclaimed thriller “Death Mask,” which debuted in 2023 from Sandy King and New York Times best-selling author Amanda Deibert.
“Death Mask Volume 2: Ichor Azure” reunites writer Amanda Deibert, illustrator Cat Staggs, and co-creator Sandy King— founder and editor of Storm King Comics —follows Detective Sonia Maza in an all-new story set in the hills of Los Angeles where a chilling mystery unfolds as an unknown serial killer targets the 20-something children of the Hollywood elite. No nepo-baby influencer is safe. The pressure rises when two young women are kidnapped, and Detective Maza scrambles to piece together clues before time runs out.
After a fatal mistake, it becomes clear to Detective Maza that there is only one person who can help: another serial killer. Though Maza nearly lost her own life to Alejandra, the killer the world knows as “Death Mask,” she faces her own unresolved trauma and turns to Alejandra — who is uniquely qualified to slip into the mind of a vengeful killer on a “mission,” and to disappear unnoticed into the world of the socialites.
