The ‘Stranger Things’ Kids Are Coming To Lip Sync Battle

Lip Sync Battle is one of the few shows my wife and I DVR that we’re actually current on.  Hosted by LL Cool J with colorful commentary from supermodel Chrissy Teigen, each episode features two celebrities lip-synching their hearts out in typically over the top performances.  But this week, things are getting a little strange…Instead of two contestants, there are four, and instead of adult actors, the stage is being taken over by kid actors, but not just any kids, the kids from ‘Stranger Things’.

The upcoming battle, which airs this Thursday, May 25, will feature four of the stars from the Netflix show ― Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers). Earlier today Spike teased the kids’ performances by sharing a preshow video and sneak peek’s at performances from Wolfhard and McLaughlin.

In the first sneak peek, Wolfhard treats fans to his best Rivers Cuomo as he reenacts the iconic music video for Weezer’s “Buddy Holly.”

In the second sneak peek, McLaughlin pays homage to the show’s host by performing “I’m Bad” as a young LL Cool J.

“Lip Sync Battle” with Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo and Noah Schnapp airs Thursday, May 25, at 10:00 p.m. ET on Spike.
