‘Terrifier: The ARTcade Game’ Arriving in November

The “Terrifier” side-scroller beat-’em-up announced earlier this year has received an official launch date. During DreadXP’s annual Indie Horror Showcase, it was announced that “Terrifier: The ARTcade Game” will launch on November 21, 2025. The news was accompanied by a new trailer revealing the game’s main theme, which was composed by Cody Carpenter, the son of legendary filmmaker and horror icon John Carpenter.

“Terrifier: The ARTcade Game” is a brutal 2D beat-’em-up where players take on the role of Art the Clown himself. Their mission is to terrorize and shut down production on various movies depicting Art’s murderous escapades. Players will gut cops, mangle stunt performers, and terrorize film sets with Art’s signature blend of sadistic humour and nightmarish brutality. From chainsaws to cleavers, players will have a bloody arsenal of weapons at their disposal as they slice and dice their way through several distinct stages, each featuring different paths to explore and unique enemies to defeat.

To keep the gameplay fresh, the game features six distinct modes, ranging from quick beat-’em-up sessions to extended challenges, each with unique twists and obstacles. Players can amp up the chaos with up to four-player local co-op, allowing you to team upโ€”or even work against each otherโ€”across these various challenges.

“Terrifier: The ARTcade game” is available to wishlist on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5. The physical edition of the game is available for pre-order from select retailers ahead of the November 21 launch.
