Point & Click Adventure Game ‘Foolish Mortals’ Releasing November 5

After four years in production, the husband-and-wife team behind Inklingwood Studios, David and Sophie Younger, have announced the November 5, 2025, release of their point-and-click adventure game ‘Foolish Mortals.

Inspired by classics like Monkey Island and Broken Sword, “Foolish Mortals” is a full-length, fully voiced, hand-drawn game in the classic style. Set in Louisiana in 1933, players take on the role of young treasure hunter Murphy McCallan, voiced by acclaimed actor AJ LoCascio (“X-Men ’97”).

“Foolish Mortals” is a full-length, fully voiced, hand-drawn game in the classic style, inspired by games like “Monkey Island” and “Broken Sword.” Set in Louisiana in 1933, players take on the role of young treasure hunter Murphy McCallan, voiced by acclaimed actor (“X-Men ’97”).

The premise is a mystery: Thirty-three years prior, an entire wedding suddenly and mysteriously vanished on the island of Devil’s Rock. With the vanishing, the location of the lost treasure of Bellemore Manor was lost as well. To find it, Murphy might just need to die, too.

“Foolish Mortals” is designed to be spooky, but not scary, and features classic puzzles to solve with over 100 usable items. And unlike some of its more frustrating predecessors, the game includes a built-in hint system to help players who get stuck. The game also boasts:

  • 75+ hand-drawn locations
  • 2+ hours of original music
  • 35+ voiced characters

The game is available to Wishlist now on Steam, but for those looking for even more point-and-click nostalgia, you can also pick up the “Foolish Mortals” Big Box. This features a physical box like you used to get with PC games back in the ’90s, filled with extras, including:

  • Manual
  • Soundtrack CD
  • Physical versions of 13 in-game documents

Please note: The Big Box only features the physical extras and DOES NOT include a digital or physical copy of the game. The game itself must be purchased separately via Steam or GOG.
