The Mystic Museum Announces ‘Y2Kills’ — Exhibit Will Celebrate 2000s Horror

The Mystic Museum in Burbank celebrated 80s horror with Slashback Video. Last year they took on 90s horror with the immersive experience 90 Slashers, now the oddities shop and museum of the occult, paranormal, mystical, and all things horror, is headed into the new millennium with an all-new exhibit called “Y2Kills.”

This all-new immersive experience will celebrate horror from the turn of the century and feature personal collections from two directors who are no strangers to early 2000s horror: Eli Roth (“Cabin Fever,” “Hostel”) and Mike Dougherty (“Trick ‘r Treat”). The new experience opens on April 15, 2023. It will feature an original score to set the tone for the experience composed by Douglas Pipes, the composer behind the iconic soundtrack to “Trick ‘r Treat.”

Three different ticketing options will be available for the experience, each with its own unique set of perks. Depending on which tier you select, you’ll have the opportunity to take home a variety of memorabilia, including a novelty photo; a CD featuring the original Y2Kills soundtrack composed by Douglas Pipes; and a wind-up disposable film camera reminiscent of the technology from the early 2000s!
