In 2022, leading up to the premiere of Netflix’s “Wednesday,” the streaming service invited outcasts to apply for Nevermore Academy, the fictitious school featured in the series. With season two of “Wednesday” set to premiere on August 6, 2025, Netflix is again inviting outcasts of all kinds to apply to the school.
This year’s invitation comes from the school’s new principal, Barry Dort, played by Steve Buscemi (“The Big Lebowski), as he explains how he hopes to reverse the damage done to the institution by former principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie; “Game of Thrones”). The video also features a handful of appearances from Nevermore Academy students, both new and old.
Those outcasts interested in applying for the school can again do so by visiting https://www.nevermoreacademy.com/. There, you can learn more about the school, notable alums, its students, and upcoming activities. You can also fill out an application to attend the school.
The application features a handful of questions about being an outcast and what strengths you would bring to the school as a student. At the end, you’re prompted to provide your name, email, and address to be notified in the coming weeks if you’ve been accepted.
In 2022, many applicants received physical acceptance letters in the mail, while I, on the other hand, received a rejection email courtesy of Wednesday Addams. Needless to say, I’ve applied again in hopes of attending this fall.
Buscemi is among several newcomers to the series for season two, including Billie Piper (“Scoop”), Evie Templeton (“Return to Silent Hill”), Owen Painter (“Tiny Beautiful Things”), and Noah B. Taylor (“Law & Order: Organized Crime”).
“Wednesday” season two will be released in two parts, with Part 1 premiering on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 premiering on September 3.
