‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ Final Trailer Released

AMC has released the final trailer for “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live,” the latest series in The Walking Dead Universe, which is set to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on February 25.

“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” marks the return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in their iconic roles as Rick Grimes and Michonne. The six-episode series presents the epic love story of the two characters, who’ve been kept apart by distance and an unstoppable power. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?

The series is built upon events going back to 2018 and the ninth season of “The Walking Dead,” when Andrew Lincoln left the show. Lincoln’s character, Rick Grimes, was believed to be dead as a result of an explosion, only to be whisked away in a helicopter by the authoritarian Civic Republic. “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” will tell of Rick’s time with the Civic Republic and Michone’s journey to find him and will likely act as some additional connective tissue in The Walking Dead Universe since the series also features Jadis, played by Pollyanna McIntosh, from “The Walking Dead: World Beyond.”

Fans who want to relive some of the most epic moments from Rick and Michone’s past can do so ahead of the series premiere with “The Walking Dead: Best of Michonne” and “The Walking Dead: Best of Rick,” both of which will premiere as a special collection of fan-favorite episodes featuring the characters on AMC+ premiering on February 1.
