Trailer for Nightmare-Fuel Live-Action Film ‘Stopmotion’ Arrives from IFC

Grotesque stop-motion puppets take center stage in the new trailer for the live-action horror film “Stopmotion” from IFC, which is set to open in theaters on February 23, 2024.

The film, from director Robert Morgan, stars Aisling Franciosi (“The Last Voyage of the Demeter”) as Ella Blake, a stop-motion animator struggling to control her demons after losing her overbearing mother. When she embarks on creating a new film, it quickly becomes the battleground for her sanity as the characters in her project begin to take on a life of their own.

Rounding out the film’s cast are Stella Gonet (“Breeders”), Tom York (“Poldark”), and Caoilinn Springall (“The Midnight Sky”).

“Stopmotion” was written by Morgan with Robin King. Alain de la Mata and Christopher Granier-Deferre serve as producers on the film.
