On Wednesday, Netflix released the official trailer for the second season of its hit series, “Wednesday.” The second season will be released in two parts, with Part 1 arriving on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 debuting on September 3.
The new trailer teases several new plot points, all of which surround Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) returning to Nevermore Academy and a psychic vision of her best friend and roommate, Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), meeting her demise. With Enid’s fate hanging in the balance, Wednesday must race against the clock to solve another mystery.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Wednesday also appears to be contending with the fact that she’s now the most popular student at Nevermore Academy, having been deemed a hero by her classmates after the events of Season 1, something she loathes.
The trailer also suggests the new season will bring more screen time to the rest of the Addams family, with Addams family matriarch Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) looking to play a more pivotal role in the upcoming season helping Wednesday navigate her new abilities and possibly make sense of the ominous black tears she sheds whenever she uses them.
