The team behind ‘Weekend at the End of the World’ has dropped the official trailer for their genre-bending cosmic horror-comedy, ahead of its digital debut on April 20, 2026.
Directed and co-written by Gille Klabin (“The Wave”), the film stars Clay Elliott and Cameron Fife as best friends Karl and Miles. When Karl’s girlfriend rejects his proposal and shatters his dreams of happily ever after, Miles takes him away to his Meemaw’s cabin to regroup, come together, and help flip it before the real estate bubble bursts. However, the cabin—and the recently-undead Meemaw—have different plans.
After unwittingly opening a portal to The Allness (the chaotic realm between realities), the duo is forced to face both metaphorical and very real demons. To save the world, they must navigate a series of surreal trials to help a weakened Meemaw regain the strength she needs to close the rift forever.
Rounding out the ensemble cast are Troian Bellisario, Thomas Lennon, Sujata Day, and Adam Ray.
“Weekend at the End of the World” arrives hot off the festival circuit, where it received Best VFX and a Special Mention for Best Comedy at Grimmfest, as well as Best Sci-Fi Film at Another Hole in the Head Film Festival. Eschewing traditional studio routes, the filmmakers will self-distribute the project in North America, bringing the cosmic chaos to digital platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV starting April 20.
