Fallout 76 Unveils ‘The Slasher’ Event and Creepy Rewards for Season 26

Bethesda has released a new overview trailer detailing “The Slasher,” an upcoming Fallout 76 event inspired by one of Fallout 3’s most infamous serial killers, along with a first look at horror-themed rewards heading to Season 26: “Beware the Blood Moon.”

The update brings classic lore to the West Virginia wasteland with a string of new murders across Appalachia. Modeled after the Pint-Sized Slasher—the knife-wielding, mask-wearing urban legend from the Pre-War era—the killings leave players to investigate whether the original killer has returned or if a cult of copycats is responsible.

Throughout the event, in-game “Breaking News” emergency broadcasts will update players on new leads. Investigators will clear out infestations of slasher-worshipping cultists, complete new Daily Ops challenges, and dig up graves across the region to solve the mystery. Players who survive the final showdown can earn themed power armor and a new auto axe variant.

The launch of “The Slasher” update coincides with the rollout of Season 26, “Beware the Blood Moon,” which focuses heavily on Halloween-inspired cosmetics and camp items. By earning S.C.O.R.E. and redeeming tickets, players can unlock items including the Batty Skirt, Blood Moon Power Armor Paint, Creepy Cultist Well, and a Blood Moon Weather Control Station.
