Reese’s is turning Halloween into a nationwide competition, launching a search to identify the single “Trick-or-Treatiest Street in America.”
To separate casual candy givers from legendary spooky blocks, the iconic confectioner analyzed national candy and costume purchasing trends, Census walkability metrics, neighborhood décor habits, and survey responses from 15,000 residents.
From there, the brand selected a shortlist of 150 contender streets across the country, available at www.hersheyland.com/trickortreatiest.
To judge the contenders, Reese’s assembled an all-star “Halloween Council” composed of beloved horror and pop-culture icons, including Christina Ricci (“Casper,” “The Addams Family”), Kathy Najimy (“Hocus Pocus”), and digital creators Rachel Iwanyszyn, Zaire Alford, and Macy Blackwell.
The council’s mission is simple: debate the evidence, analyze neighborhood enthusiasm, and crown the ultimate Halloween block.
“The best Halloween streets aren’t just the ones that decorate or have the biggest budgets,” Ricci said in a statement. “Instead, they are the ones that create an atmosphere where trick-or-treaters keep coming back, and the entire community becomes part of the experience.”
The winning neighborhood, scheduled for announcement on Oct. 21, will receive a Reese’s-fueled block party co-hosted by real estate marketplace Zillow, stocked with iconic seasonal favorites, from Reese’s Pumpkins to Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, complete with an epic trick-or-treating experience.
