To celebrate the 40th anniversary of “Aliens,” CREATORVC is resurrecting the acclaimed documentary “Aliens Expanded” for a strictly limited window. This special 2-disc Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively from April 14 through April 28, 2026.
Written and directed by Ian Nathan (former editor of Empire and author of “James Cameron: A Retrospective”), the documentary offers a definitive, sequence-by-sequence analysis of the 1986 classic. The film features over four hours of deep-dive content and 30+ interviews with the legends from the production, including James Cameron, Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn, Lance Henriksen, and producer Gale Anne Hurd.
“‘Aliens’ is, without question, one of the most influential films I’ve ever seen, so being able to bring ‘Aliens Expanded’ back for its 40th anniversary is genuinely special,” said Executive Producer Robin Block. “This is a strictly limited release and won’t be around for long, so if ‘Aliens’ is your jam, this really is your last chance to own it for a while.”
The anniversary edition of “Aliens Expanded” features an entire disc of bonus content featuring stories that weren’t included in the original documentary.
