If there’s one tradition that’s stood the test of time, its the tradition of telling scary stories. This October, author and multimedia artist Patrick Tumblety is keeping the tradition alive with an all-new audio series titled “The October Children.”

“The October Children” is an audio celebration of the season that will premiere on October 1, 2019, with new episodes being released every Thursday leading up to Halloween. Each episode will feature short stories, poetry, and music created for the sole purpose of celebrating the season.

This week, Tumblety unveiled a preview of the new series on the “The October Children” website where you can hear a bit about the series and the story of Rustle, a scarecrow who may or may not be up to scaring more than crows.

While not necessarily a podcast, “The October Children” has a vibe similar to “Lore” or “Spooked,” but with fictional stories. So if you’re a fan of either of these series’, you’ll definitely want to check this out!
