Horror fans, mark your calendars. Cineverse has officially announced that Screambox will be the exclusive streaming home for the 2025 reimagining of “Silent Night, Deadly Night.” After a successful digital run, the holiday slasher is set to deck the halls with blood on the platform starting April 28, 2026.

Directed by Mike P. Nelson (“Wrong Turn”) and starring Rohan Campbell (“Halloween Ends”) and Ruby Modine (“Happy Death Day”), this isn’t a simple shot-for-shot remake. While it stays true to the 1984 original’s premise—following Billy’s annual spree of holiday violence after witnessing his parents’ murder—this version introduces a twisted psychological layer. This time, Billy’s blood-soaked mission collides with an unexpected romance that forces him to confront the darkness within.

In addition to “Silent Night, Deadly Night,” Screambox is unleashing a killer lineup of special new programming, including the following, coming soon:

  • Bloody Bites: Season 17 (Streaming April 3) – Bites-sized horror short films presented by Bloody Disgusting and Scotchworthy Productions.
  • Kenneled (Streaming April 21) – A destitute dogwalker finds a wealthy client who saves him from financial ruin. But this is no ordinary dog. Produced by Joe Swanberg.
  • Shaman (Streaming May 1) – A missionary converting an Indigenous community in a remote Ecuadorian volcano must come to terms with her own faith when dark forces possess her son.
  • The Morrigan (Streaming May 5) – Follows an archaeologist who travels to Ireland to uncover a long-dead tomb. A threat is released, and she will have to fight to keep her teenage daughter from falling under the control of The Morrigan, a vengeful “Pagan War Goddess.”
  • Monkey’s Magic Merry Go Round (Streaming May 19) – Ensnared by amnesia, a children’s TV show host must confront his repressed memories as his set and puppet co-stars turn against him. Produced by Joe Swanberg.
  • Bloody Bites: Season 18 (Streaming June 5) – Bites-sized horror short films presented by Bloody Disgusting and Scotchworthy Productions.
