Silverstring Media and indie.io have officially revealed that Greenhearth Necromancer is coming to Steam on May 11, 2026. This semi-idle “cozy-mancer” experience follows Echo, a non-binary witch and recent graduate who inherits their grandmother’s apartment—and a very dead garden—at the Greenhearth co-op.
Unlike traditional idle games that rely on ticking clocks and constant pressure, Greenhearth Necromancer is built for relaxation. Players can experiment with necromantic spells and magical potions to revive their flora at their own pace, accompanied by a soothing lo-fi soundtrack.
Each plant responds differently to how much sunlight or water it receives, whether it’s alive through conventional means or undead through unconventional ones — and figuring out how to keep them thriving is one side of the coin.
The other is figuring out where Echo belongs in the community. While tending to the garden with the help of a sentient compost heap, Echo must navigate their place among the magical and non-magical residents. The story, written by Lindsay Ishihiro (“I Was a Teenage Exocolonist”), unfolds through a unique event deck system that blends scripted narrative with random encounters.
Greenhearth Necromancer is available now to Wishlist on Steam ahead of its May release.
