Throughout July, Spirit Halloween has unveiled “new riders” boarding the subway train on a trip to Madison Scare Park as a tie-in to this year’s theme. Each new rider or series of riders was part of Spirit Halloween’s 2025 animatronics lineup. On Friday, Spirit Halloween unveiled what appears to be its last animatronics reveal for 2025, with the arrival of its Jack the Reaper animatronic. However, there are a handful of new animatronics that somehow never got to board the train that you might want to be aware of.
Trixie – $199.99
Trixie is a trick-or-treater who’s out for more than just candy. She starts crouched, holding a trick-or-treat sack and wearing a mask before springing up to nearly five and a half feet tall, brandishing her concealed knife and gleefully wicked grin, illuminated by the white LED lights embedded in her mask. Trixie says four different phrases, including:
- “Won’t you give me a nice treat? No? Well then, how’s this for a trick?” [Maniacal laughter and haunting piano noises]
- “Nobody gave me candy, and now I’m angry!” [Screams] [Maniacal laughter noises and haunting piano noises] “…All better now!”
- “My mommy and daddy told me not to go trick-or-treating tonight. They regretted that!” [Scream] [Maniacal laughter and haunting piano noises]
- “I heard it was dangerous for kids to go trick-or-treating alone…” [Laughter] “…but I’m not scared!” [Cackling laughter and haunting piano noises]
The Lantern Keeper – $229.99
The Lantern Keeper is one of three “Coming Soon!” animatronics currently featured on the Spirit Halloween website. Standing nearly eight feet tall, this scarecrow animatronic features a jack-o’-lantern head and lantern that are illuminated by LED lights. The Lantern Keeper’s body twists from side to side, and his hand moves to create a shushing motion. The animatronic also says four different voice lines, including:
- “You must be silent! The darkness is always listening…hahaha”
- “Shhh! If you make even the tiniest sound, the shadows will find you…heheheheh”
- “Quiet now! If you dare to speak out loud, you may never get to speak again…hahaha”
- “Shhhhh! Do not venture any further. If you wake the undead from their slumber, there will be no escape…heheheheh”
Grave Dancer – $189.99
Another “Coming Soon!” animatronic, Grave Dancer, is just over five feet tall and features a frightful spirit of a young girl balancing atop a tombstone. The animatronic has yellow LED eyes and moves side to side as her bloody mouth opens and closes as she says one of four chilling phrases that include:
- “Um, you better watch out for the shadows, okay? ‘Cause they’re hungry. Hungry for people, so stay close to the light if you want to stay alive, hee hee!”
- “Heeheehee…hiiii there! Are ya lost? Don’t worry, I know all the secrets of this creepy place. But beware… (voice changes to a deeper, creepy tone) you don’t want to fall in an open grave!”
- “Hello friend! Just be careful where you step, because sometimes…the shadows… they reach out and GRAB YOU!”
- “Can you hear the whispers of the dead? [Haunted whispers] -They are like old friends to me. Maybe you could be my friend too? We can be together…forever…”
Fire Demon – $309.99
The third and final “Coming Soon!” animatronic that didn’t receive a stop on the way to Madison Scare Park is the Fire Demon, a nearly seven-foot skeletal demon featuring a fiery glow from within. The demon shrouds itself with a tattered cloak before moving its hands to expose its fiery appearance while saying one of four different phrases:
- “I have risen from the dark pit of despair… it burns inside me!”
- “I carry the eternal flames…deep in my chest…where they will burn your soul!”
- “I have come for you…look deep into burning fire…as I drag you into the Dark Abyss!”
- “I smell your innocence. Come closer and warm yourself with the flames of my corrupted soul.”
It’s unclear why these new 2025 animatronics didn’t get stops on the way to Madison Scare Park, but they are definitely worth checking out, and I look forward to seeing them in stores for the Halloween season.
