Last week, Halloween retailer Spirit Halloween unveiled its first batch of new for 2022 Halloween animatronics. Since then, it has been introducing more, like Nozzles the Clown and The Widow. On Monday, Spirit Halloween debuted two more animatronics with the introduction of Regan from “The Exorcist” and Possessed Pumpkin.
The new Regan animatronic is inspired by the possessed young girl from the 1973 film famously played by actress Linda Blair. The animatronic stands five feet tall and features disturbing head-spinning movements just like in the movie, and says four actual voice lines from the film:
- What an excellent day for an exorcism. It will bring us together…you and us.”
- “I’m not Regan… I’m the Devil!” “It burns, it burns!”
- “(Devil sounds) …. You killed your mother, you left her alone to die!” “Keep away, the sow is mine!”
- “Your mother’s in here with us Karras. Would you like to leave her a message? I’ll see that she gets it”
To add to the fear factor, the animatronic also projects an image of the demon Pazuzu from her back, making the demon’s presence known on any surface behind the animatronic. The new animatronic is not yet available for purchase; however, it is listed on the Spirit Halloween website as “Coming Soon!”
Posessed Pumpkin is a new seven-foot animatronic. The evil jack-o’-lantern monster features light-up eyes and a lanky frame watch as he turns from left to right, taunting anyone who crosses his path. The animatronic says four different phrases, including:
- “Tonight’s the night for fright! (growls and laughs)”
- “You little monsters have been carving up my friends for years! Now it’s my turn to make a Jack-O-Lantern…. from your HEAD!”
- “Hmmmm, I need a skeleton or two for my haunted house. Yours looks just about right! (Laughs)”
- “Oh…. you’ll make excellent fertilizer for next year’s crop! (Laughs)”
The new animatronic is not yet available for purchase; however, it is listed on the Spirit Halloween website as “Coming Soon!”
