Geico Kicks Off ‘GEICOween’ Ad Campaign with New Casper the Friendly Ghost Commercial and More!

Insurance company Geico is getting into the Halloween spirit by resurrecting a Halloween classic and releasing new commercials featuring Casper the Friendly Ghost, a cat-loving witch, and a creepy attic.

The first new commercial brings back a ’90s classic as a couple finds themselves sharing their new home with Casper the Friendly Ghost. A night of Netflix and chill is anything but chill when the chummy ghost decides to join them for movie night.

In the second new ad, two roommates compromise on a roommate, but not their renters insurance and wind up sharing their space with a witch named Griswalda. She can cook and loves cats, but it might come at a price…

In the third new commercial the Geico lizard and a new homeowner explore the attic of a new home to see what the previous occupants left behind and what they find is far from your typical junk.

Finally, Geico has resurrected their 2014 horror movie ad that pokes fun at teen horror movie tropes as a group of teens makes the worst possible decision while being chased by a killer.

In a DVR world commercials are often ignored, but I still appreciate a good Halloween ad. To me they are just as much a part of the Halloween season as jack-‘o-lanterns and trick or treating. What’s your favorite “GEICOween” ad? For me its a toss up between the creepy attic and the witch.

    1. Based on what I found online, the guy who says to hide in the attic is Aaron Jennings, the guy who suggests hiding behind the chainsaws is Creagen Dow, and the chainsaw killer is played by David Figlioli.
