General Mills Cereal Monster ‘Monster Mash’ 50th Anniversary Celebration to Include Fruit Snacks

In May, I shared that General Mills would celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cereal Monsters with a special release of the monster cereals called “Monster Mash.” The cereal combines berry flavored cereal pieces from the Boo Berry and Frankenberry cereals with the monster marshmallows from Fruit Brute, Count Chocula, and Fruity Yummy Mummy. Now we’ve learned that the Cereal Monsters will also be coming together in a new limited-time release of Monster Mash Fruit Flavored Snacks.

The snacks were uncovered on the Sam’s Club website and shared by a cerealously.net reader. From what we can gather from what is clearly a premature listing (the description for the snacks is currently for Space Jam fruit snacks), the fruit snacks will feature six different shapes, including Franken Berry, Fruit Brute, Boo Berry, Yummy Mummy, Count Chocula, and the Monster Cereal Castle. The packaging also suggests the fruit snacks will give Monster Cereal lovers another way to experience and download the Cereal Monsters rendition of Bobby Boris Pickett’s “Monster Mash.” What’s not clear is if these will be a Sam’s Club exclusive featuring a whopping 90 0.8 oz bags or if smaller packages of these special 50th-anniversary fruit snacks will be available.

90 Count Monster Mash Fruit Snacks

No word yet on when the Monster Mash Fruit Snacks will be available. The Sam’s Club site currently lists the item as “Out of Stock” online and in-store. In my personal experience, I typically start seeing the General Mills Monster Cereals pop up at Sam’s Club stores in July, so I would imagine these new Monster Mash Fruit Snacks would follow suit.
