Early this week I shared that Google had released it’s updated Frightgesit tool to highlight the top Halloween costume trends of 2019. This year’s data identified IT costumes as the top costume of 2019 in the U.S. The tool also lets users explore the top costumes by state and a selection of larger metro areas. But in addition to the data in Frightgeist, Google has shared data on this year’s most searched couples, group, pet and baby costumes.
Top Costumes for Couples
According to Google, Lilo and Stitch is the top searched couples costume of 2019. What’s perhaps the most interesting detail about this year’s most searched couples costumes is how aside from Rick and Morty, most of the “couples” aren’t based on current pairings seen in pop culture.
