‘Halloween Ends’ Coming to Theaters and Peacock October 14

In a heartfelt message shared on social media from actress Jamie Lee Curtis, it was announced that “Halloween Ends” would arrive both in theaters and on streaming service Peacock for its October 14, 2022 release.

Curtis, who’s played the character Laurie Strode in the “Halloween” franchise since 1978, shared that the decision was made after seeing the successful release of “Halloween Kills” in a similar format. Last year’s “Halloween Kills” netted a $49M opening and a $92M domestic total, all while pulling in 2.8 million U.S. viewers on Peacock, according to Samba TV, during the first 30 days.

While “Halloween Kills” saw a day-and-date release due to the Covid crisis, Curtis shares, “We discovered, there are people who want to go the theater and scream their guts out. And other people who want to stay at home and scream their guts out.” Curtis and the folks behind “Halloween Ends” hope people will do the same this time around. Curtis even jokes, “You could do what I would do, which is go to the theater and then re-watch it at home. And then go back to the theater and then re-watch it at home again.”

In addition to the news of a “Halloween Ends” day-and-date release on Peacock. The film also received a new poster, which you can see below:
