Scythe Studios and tinyBuild have officially announced Happy’s Humble Burgatory, the highly anticipated multiplayer follow-up to 2021’s indie psychological horror hit, Happy’s Humble Burger Farm. Dropping onto Steam this July, the new title invites you and up to three friends back to the grill for a chaotic, first-person cooking nightmare set within the twisted, lore-heavy Scythe universe.
A direct successor to the original game, Burgatory peels back yet another sinister layer of the Paragon Corporation’s reality-warping simulation program. On paper, it’s a standard fast-food gig: flip burgers, fry up sides, pour drinks, and keep the customers happy to hit your quota.
In practice? It’s a desperate fight for survival.
Every shift inevitably descends into madness. Once the corporate simulation collapses, the franchise’s terrifying mascot, Asset Joy, breaks containment to hunt you down. The iconic monster is back for blood, and your crew has exactly one shot to escape the restaurant with your hard-earned cash.
To ensure no two shifts are ever the same, Burgatory features over 35 gameplay modifiers. “Rush Hour” floods the restaurant with hungry customers for a high-risk, high-reward payday, but the real kicker is the game’s microphone integration. Happy’s Humble Burgatory listens to everything you say. Triggering the “Profanity Policy” modifier will actively punish your team if anyone swears on mic, while uttering secret incantations can warp the kitchen to your advantage. You’ll need to learn exactly what to say—and what never to whisper aloud—if you want to avoid angering the beast.
Should you manage to survive the night, you can use your earnings to purchase game-changing boosters, gamble them on high-stakes contracts, or sacrifice them to a dark ascension ritual to progress the game’s underlying story.
Happy’s Humble Burgatory officially launches on Steam on July 16, 2026.
