Here’s a Look at the Horror Themes and Films Coming to TCM This October

Each year around Halloween, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) dedicates select nights throughout the month of October to the horror genre and this year is no exception. The classic film network has pulled back the curtain on this year’s programming scheduled and here’s what they have in store!

October 3-4, 2019

TCM Primetime will host its “Bewitched!” block of horror films based on themes of witches and witchcraft.

  • 8:00 PM – Bell Book and Candle
  • 9:45 PM – Horror Hotel
  • 11:15 PM – The Devil’s Own
  • 1:00 AM – Suspiria (1977)
  • 2:45 AM – Night of Dark Shadows
  • 4:30 AM – Haxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages

October 4-5, 2019

Join TCM has they celebrate their Monster of the Month, Godzilla! Enjoy a full night of films featuring one of history’s most recognizable movie monsters.

  • 8:00 PM – Godzilla (1954)
  • 9:30 PM – Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956)
  • 11:00 PM – Godzilla Raids Again
  • 12:30 AM – Mothra vs Godzilla
  • 2:15 AM – Mothra
  • 4:00 AM – The Town That Dreaded Sundown
Dracula A.D.

October 10-11, 2019

On October 10, TCM Primetime will play a nightlong block of films around the theme of “Black Magic.”

  • 12:15 AM – The Devil’s Bride

October 11-12, 2019

On October 11, TCM will continue its celebration of its Monster of the Month with a second night long programming block dedicated to Godzilla.

  • 11:30 PM – Ebirah, Horror of the Deep

October 17-18, 2019

TCM Primetime dedicates this night long block of horror to the theme of “Ghost Stories,” featuring films about ghosts, hauntings, poltergeists, and more.

  • 12:00 AM – The Fog (1980)

For its third night dedicated to their Monster of the Month, TCM Primetime will feature some of the later entries in the Godzilla franchise and strangely, a couple of blaxploitation horrors.
