TCM to Close Out ’31 Days of Oscar’ Event with a Block of Horror Films

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has unveiled its “31 Days of Oscar” lineup for 2023. Now in its 29th year, the month-long showcase of films recognized by the Academy will kick off on March 1, and this year, they’re celebrating Oscar by genre. While the Academy typically snubs horror, TCM has dedicated a small block to the genre, ending the month with five notable classics.

This year’s event features over 200 movies broken out into 55 genres, including some horror-adjacent genres, including Science Fiction, Mystery and Suspense, and Thrillers. Each film has either been nominated or awarded the esteemed ” best ” ranking in their respective categories.
