House 2 Brings Hand-Drawn Horror to Steam This August

Bark Bark Games and Glowstick Entertainment have announced an Aug. 28 release date for House 2, the upcoming sequel to the hit indie horror adventure House.

Departing from the original game’s retro pixel graphics, House 2 features a new hand-drawn storybook art style. Players once again control Tabby as she navigates a cursed, living construct determined to kill her in gruesome ways. Every choice dictates Tabby’s fate as she works to break a time loop, dodge monstrous entities, and save her family with the help of her snail companion, Marty.

Failure results in a series of animated demises, though players looking for a breather can pause the horror to play PS1-inspired mini-games—such as Kimiki’s Curse 2—on an in-game “BarkStation.”

House 2 launches Aug. 28 on PC via Steam and is currently available to wishlist. Console versions will follow on Sept. 26.
