Lionsgate has announced that the R-rated psychological thriller “Capps Crossing: Wrong Side of Dead” is set to hit Digital and VOD platforms on July 28, 2026.
Written and directed by Mike Stahl, the film serves as a follow-up to his 2017 indie slasher “Capps Crossing.” The sequel follows Amber, whose birthday getaway with friends deep in the wilderness takes a horrific turn when a demented park ranger with a tortured past targets them. Fortunately, Amber isn’t your average horror protagonist—she’s a stellar athlete and a brilliant social profiler who must use every tool in her arsenal to survive a brutal, seductive killer. But as the bodies pile up, the film promises that nothing is quite what it seems.
The thriller features a notable ensemble cast led by comedy and horror veteran Beverly D’Angelo (“National Lampoon’s Vacation”). Joining her are Sabina Gadecki (“False Positive”), Garrett C. Phillips (“Monster”), Sarah Elizabeth Withers (“Nightmare Cinema”), Shawna Della-Ricca (“Dave”), John Ryan McLaughlin (“13 Reasons Why”), and returning “Capps Crossing” star Gary Cooney.
