The Upside Down is officially heading to the Golden Arches. Following weeks of viral social media leaks, Netflix and McDonald’s have confirmed the “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” Happy Meal is real—and it’s launching sooner than you think. The new Happy Meals will roll out to McDonald’s restaurants globally over spring and summer, with the U.S. launch set for May 5, 2026.
The “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” Happy Meal includes:
- A custom Stranger Things: Tales From ’85-inspired Happy Meal box
- One of 12 (depending on market) collectible character toys
- A Stranger Things activity book
- A QR code that unlocks a digital experience and interactive game where fans help save Hawkins (and McDonald’s) from the monsters
“Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” returns to the iconic world of Hawkins, Indiana, as the gang fights new monsters and unravels paranormal mysteries – with the same heightened stakes and ’80s nostalgia that made the original series a global phenomenon. The collaboration leans into the shared DNA of the two brands: childhood adventure and ’80s iconography. For Netflix, McDonald’s isn’t just a partner—it’s a cornerstone of the era the show celebrates.
“Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” arrives on Netflix today, April 23.
