Meera Menon’s Horror-Comedy ‘Didn’t Die’ Coming to VOD in April

Following its limited theatrical run earlier this month, the horror-comedy “Didn’t Die” is officially set for an On Demand release on April 28, 2026. Directed by Meera Menon (“Ms. Marvel”), the film—which I previously highlighted for its unique, serene approach to the apocalypse—blends character-driven drama with classic genre thrills.

The story follows Vinita (Kiran Deol, “Destroy All Neighbors”), a podcaster struggling to maintain her digital relevance while the physical world crumbles. As the zombie population begins to mutate into something far more dangerous, Vinita’s life is further upended by the arrival of her ex-boyfriend and an orphaned baby.

Co-written by Menon and Paul Gleason (“Farah Goes Bang”), the film boasts a deep ensemble cast, including George Basil (“Werewolves Within”), Samrat Chakrabarti (“The Sinner”), Kandis Fay (“After the Wedding”), Ali Lopez-Sohaili (“Manifest”), Rachna Khatau (“Baby Daddy”), and Rapak Ginn (“Royal Pains”). The film also marks the feature film debut of Katie McCuen and Vishal Vijayakumar.

Following its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, “Didn’t Die” earned the ReFrame Stamp for its gender-balanced production and was nominated in the American Independents Competition at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
