Hot on the tail of the official announcement of the Wendy’s x Wednesday Meal of Misfortune, comes some more exciting “Wednesday” news: the hit Netflix series has been picked up for a third season! The announcement comes ahead of the show’s August Season 2 debut.
Season 2 will delve into darker, more complex stories, while retaining the show’s signature macabre humor. For Season 3, they’re promising to go even further, on every level. “Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” says co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
Season 3 might be further in the future, but you won’t have to wait long for your next “Wednesday” fix. Part 1 of Season 2 of “Wednesday” is set to drop on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 will arrive on September 3.
“Wednesday” premiered on Netflix in November 2022, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, and chronicles her first year as a student at Nevermore Academy. The first season of “Wednesday” remains the most-viewed English-language series on Netflix of all time.
