Spin Master is expanding its highly anticipated horror trading card game, Hellbreak, announcing a new partnership with Paramount Pictures to bring its iconic film monsters into the deck-building arena.
The collaboration taps into the Paramount Scares portfolio, introducing terror mainstays like the Death Angels from “A Quiet Place,” the Headless Horseman from “Sleepy Hollow,” and the sinister entity from “Smile.”
Developed in collaboration with Ghost Galaxy, Hellbreak pits classic cinematic monsters against one another in head-to-head card battles. Built on the foundation of the Universal Monsters library, the game lets players craft strategic decks using pop culture’s most famous nightmares.
“We’ve set out to create an unprecedented lineup of horror IP for Hellbreak to deliver a trading card game experience like no other,” said Doug Wadleigh, Spin Master’s President, Toys. “Adding Paramount Pictures’ deep catalogue of terrifying monsters will elevate the gameplay experience and we’re eager to see how players use these iconic characters when building their decks.”
Set to launch in January 2027, the inaugural 200-plus card set features seven distinct properties, combining monsters and settings from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Horror Inc.
The initial set will launch at hobby shops and Amazon, with future expansions slated to incorporate previously announced partnerships with AMC Global Media, Blumhouse and Lionsgate, as well as creative cornerstone partner Universal Pictures.
