Paranormal Investigation Game ‘Ghost Scout’ Announced, Demo Available Now

Solo indie developer Gradient Games has announced its next title, the paranormal investigation game “Ghost Scout.” The game is expected to launch sometime in Q2 or Q3 of this year for Windows and Steam Deck.

In “Ghost Scout,” the hunt begins with a twist. Unlike traditional ghost-hunting games, where you track the spirit directly, players must first locate the entity’s Anchor. Without it, you are effectively blind to the ghost’s whereabouts. These Anchors are deceptively mundane—ranging from vintage cameras and security systems to toy water pistols—but they serve as the only lens through which a ghost’s true form is revealed.

The mission is simple but high-stakes: identify the Anchor, manifest the spirit, and escape to report your findings to the Phantom Wranglers. However, as contracts progress, the hauntings grow increasingly volatile. Players will need to navigate a gauntlet of supernatural events and lethal spectral attacks to make it out alive.

Eager investigators don’t have to wait for the full launch; a playable demo is available now on Steam, where the game is also available to Wishlist.
