Spicy Donut Launches Kickstarter for New ‘Merry Murderers’ Enamel Pin Series

Artist Devin “Spicy Donut” Lawson is adding three new 2″ enamel pins to his “Merry Murderers” pin series. Based on horror movie icons from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, IT (2017), and Scream and in the art style of the classic cartoons of the 1930’s the new series includes “Leatherface in La La Land,” “Dancing Clown of Derry,” and “Gh-Gh-Ghostface.”

The series is part of a new Kickstarter campaign launched by the artist yesterday with a goal of $1,000, which had already been surpassed at the time of this writing. Lawson has set five stretch goals for the campaign, the first three, which included original color variants of the pins, which depicted the characters in their color scheme from their films, gamer color variants, which depicted the characters in the blue and purple hues used on Jason in the classic “Friday the 13th” NES game, and glow in the dark variants, had all been met. The remaining stretch goals include a fourth design in the series of Sam from Trick ‘r Treat and a glow in the dark variant of the previously released design “Jason in Toon Town.”
