Stupid Never Dies Announces Fall Launch with Quirky New Gameplay Trailer

GPTRACK50, the studio founded by “Resident Evil” and “Dino Crisis” veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi, has revealed a Fall 2026 launch window for its debut title, Stupid Never Dies. The news comes alongside an exciting new trailer showcasing the styles, level progression, and the eclectic cast of characters players will meet when the game launches later this year.

Stupid Never Dies is a 3D action RPG defined by its memorable characters and highly original art style. At the heart of the game is Davy, the protagonist and the weakest zombie in the monster world. His goal is simple: to revive Julia, the frozen woman he fell in love with at first sight, and finally take her on a date.

To bring her back, he’ll embark on a dangerous adventure, mastering the abilities of 10 different monsters in addition to his zombie form. To survive, Davy uses a unique battle system called Style Eat, which lets him literally devour his enemies and steal their powers. The new trailer showcases all 11 of Davy’s distinct forms in dynamic fashion: his standard Zombie Style, as well as Werewolf, Harpy, Golem, Vampire, Will-o’-the-Wisp, Cyclops, Snow Fairy, Merfolk, Lich, and Demon.

Beyond combat, players can further customize Davy using the Body Hack system to modify his physical form, which will be crucial for taking on the newly revealed boss characters.

The new trailer also introduces the colorful cast of companions who support Davy throughout his journey, including the self-proclaimed “supreme intellect of humanity,” Dr. Frank; a biker zombie named Bessie; an immobile stone statue named Goyle; and Acelino, a Chihuahua man, not a werewolf.

As Davy’s feelings for Julia intertwine with the motivations of his eccentric companions, the story gradually unfolds into an adventure where they must confront a common enemy together.

It also gives a broader glimpse into the game’s signature Funky Zombie Action gameplay, which was introduced in the game’s first gameplay trailer.

Stupid Never Dies will be available for PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 in Fall 2026.
