Super7 Announces ‘Mars Attacks’ ULTIMATES! Figures

In 2020, Super7 debuted a series of ReAction figures inspired by the controversial 1962 “Mars Attacks” trading card series. Now, the collectible toymaker is introducing the characters to its ULTIMATES! line as larger, more articulated figures.

The first wave of “Mars Attacks” ULTIMATES! is made up of two Martian figures, one called “Invasion Begins” and another called “Smashing The Enemy.” Each figure is being sold individually, or they can purchase them as a set of two.

Invasion Begins

This seven-inch scale figure is inspired by the first card in the classic trading card series, titled “The Invasion Begins.” This intricately detailed figure captures a Martian ready to invade Earth and comes with nine interchangeable hands, multiple weapon accessories, a removable helmet, and an articulated jaw. The figure is available for pre-order through September 39, 2023, for $55 and is expected to ship in July 2024.

Smashing the Enemy

This seven-inch scale figure is inspired by card #50 from the trading card series titled “Smashing The Enemy.” The figure is of a battle-damaged Martian with his helmet and head smashed in. The figure has nine interchangeable hands, two weapon accessories, a removable smashed Martian helmet, and a removable eyeball! The figure is available for pre-order through September 29, 2023, for $55 and is expected to ship in July 2024.

As mentioned previously, you can also order the figures as a set of two. The Martian (Smashing The Enemy) & Martian (Invasion Begins) set is also available for pre-order through September 29 and is expected to ship in July 2024.

Popularized by the 1996 Tim Burton film of the same name, “Mars Attacks” originated as a series of science fiction-themed trading cards from Topps that told the story of Earth’s invasion by less-than-peaceful Martians. While popular with kids, the violent and gruesome images on the cards sparked controversy among parents, leading Topps to discontinue the series, but not before the cards could solidify themselves in pop culture history.
