The Haunted Mansion’s Hitchhiking Ghosts Hit the Road in New Chevy Bolt Commercial

Three of the Haunted Mansion’s most infamous residents have left the mansion and are hitting the road in a new ad for Chevrolet. Gus, Ezra, and Phineas, more commonly known as the hitchhiking ghosts, appear on the side of the road to a trio of travelers before taking over the backseat of their car. Like on the attraction, the ghosts invite themselves into the vehicle alongside the unsuspecting passenger.

The ad is the latest in a string of Disney-themed ads created in partnership with Walt Disney World to tease Chevrolet’s new, All-Electric Chevy Bolt EUV and the redesigned Bolt EV. In a previous ad, a young girl used a little pixie magic to light her path.

The automaker has announced that it will reveal its new electric vehicles in conjunction with Walt Disney World on Feb. 14. It’s unclear what connection the Florida theme park has to the new vehicles beyond advertising. However, Chevrolet is a long time sponsor of the popular Test Track attraction at Epcot, so perhaps there’s some connection there. I guess we’ll just have to wait until the full reveal on Chevy.com/ev.
