Fathom Entertainment has unveiled its ‘Big Screen Classics’ lineup for 2026, featuring 12 of cinema’s most enduring masterpieces—many celebrating major landmark anniversaries—returning to theaters nationwide.
Among the films celebrating anniversaries is “The Silence of the Lambs,” which turns 35 in 2026. The 1991 film, which swept the “Big Five” Academy Awards (including Best Picture, Director, and Lead Acting honors for Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins), returns in remastered 4K on April 26 and 29.
The psychological thriller pits green FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Foster) against the brilliant but terrifying Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins). As Starling hunts an elusive killer targeting women, she is forced into a psychological chess match with Lecter, whose insights into the criminal mind come at a devastating personal cost to the vulnerable trainee.
Fathom has again tapped renowned film historian and critic Leonard Maltin, who returns for his fourth year as a cornerstone of “Fathom’s Big Screen Classics,” offering exclusive introductions that illuminate each film’s lasting legacy.
