AMC+ has released a sneak peek at its upcoming mystery thriller Yaga, a modern reimagining of the Slavic Baba Yaga folklore starring Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”) and Carrie-Anne Moss (“The Matrix”).
The eight-episode, half-hour series debuts Oct. 23 with a two-episode premiere exclusively on AMC+ in the U.S. Single episodes will drop weekly on Fridays, leading to a two-part finale Nov. 27.
Ahead of its streaming launch, “Yaga” will make its world premiere Sept. 17 at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, followed by an exclusive panel at New York Comic Con on Oct. 9.
Based on the hit play by showrunner Kat Sandler, the series follows Rapp (Reid), a private investigator hunting for Henry Park (Hudson Williams), the missing heir to a fishing fortune. Rapp soon finds himself out of his depth, clashing with a wary local detective (Clark Backo), a charismatic university professor (Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.
The cast also features Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, and Hiro Kanagawa, as well as Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal.
“Yaga” is a Crave Original series produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures in association with Bell Media, with the participation of the Canada Media Fund (CMF), the Rogers Series Fund, and the Bell Fund.
