Could “Scream Queens,” the anthology horror comedy series that was canceled after two seasons be getting a revival?The series, which was cancelled by Fox in 2017 after two seasons starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michelle, and Billie Lourd. The series revolved mainly around the “Chanels,” a group of sorority girls lead by Emma Roberts’ character Chanel Oberlin as they were terrorized by a serial killer first on their school campus and then at a hospital.This past weekend, show co-creator Ryan Murphy posted a photo of Emma Roberts’ character Chanel Oberlin on Instagram and suggested that maybe some of the folks involved in the project were thinking of bringing it back. “Emma, Billie, Lea and I have mused on it,” Murphy wrote. But he lamented that there were so many questions that needed to be answered.“Should it be a six episode limited? A catch up movie? Who should I bring back?”When the show ended in 2017, there was definitely an opportunity to continue the story line as the series finale found Chanel face to face with the series villain the Red Devil just as the episode ends.I would love to see “Scream Queens” return as I feel it was taken from us way too soon. Part dark comedy, part slasher, the series was the perfect satire of today’s youth and an overall entertaining show. Jamie Lee Curtis as Cathy Munsch is one of my favorite performances and I would love to see the character revived. As someone we all associate with the wholesome Laurie Strode from Halloween, it was fun to see her become the seductive, manipulative, murderous Dean-turned-Hospital Director.What do you think of a “Scream Queens” revival?
